I’ve been so busy recently on several collaborative efforts I have not written in a while. But I want all who might look here to know that many exciting things are happening here. In the past few months, Disability Rights Mississippi has been involved in four important efforts — planning the disAbility Mega Conference in June 2012, working with 18 other agencies via the Community Choice Alliance to provide input and encouragement to the State and the Department of Justice as they seek solutions for increasing and improving Mississippi’s community based services for adults and children with mental illness and developmental disabilities, continuing to provide feedback on waiver renewals and the Bridge to Independence Program, and serving as a managing partner of the Mississippi Partnerships in Employment Project. For more detail on any of these projects, contact me directly (amaclaine@drms.ms) and check our postings on facebook and our website drms.ms.
More later!
