Disability Rights Mississippi (DRMS) is the designated protection and advocacy agency for individuals with disabilities throughout the state of Mississippi.   It provides legal advocacy on issues related to disability such as special education, community services, benefits, accessibility, and protection from discrimination, abuse, and neglect.  DRMS has offices in Jackson and Gulfport.  Its advocates and attorneys travel statewide to represent people with disabilities and to improve the systems that serve them.  For more  general information, visit our website at http://www.drms.ms or visit our facebook group page.

This blog will be updated frequently with information that might be of interest to our clients, supporters, colleagues, and staff.   Suggestions for topics are welcome!   Contact me — amaclaine@drms.ms — to share ideas or guest columns.
